Stutter Fix Route
Restart, confirm Proton 10+, cap FPS, lower effects, then shadows. Test the same Ramburg street or Rift again and change one setting at a time.
Updated for v0.2.2
Farever lists Windows and full controller support. The Nightling Invasion update no longer supports Proton versions below Proton 10 and adds broad VFX and crowded-area optimization.
Lower effects first for crowded Rifts, then shadows. Keep textures as high as memory allows and restart after every hotfix before comparing performance.
| Setting | Starting Point | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Compatibility | Proton 10 or newer | Versions below Proton 10 are no longer supported as of v0.2. |
| Frame cap | 40 FPS | Better pacing and battery than chasing unstable highs. |
| Shadows | Low or Medium | Often the first setting to cut when open areas hitch. |
| Effects | Low or Medium | Rifts can put a dozen players, gates, enemies, and spell effects in one arena. |
| Textures | Medium or High | Adjust last unless memory pressure shows up. |
Restart, confirm Proton 10+, cap FPS, lower effects, then shadows. Test the same Ramburg street or Rift again and change one setting at a time.
Confirm dodge, block, consumables, map, Arsenal swap, and the new spectator camera before a dungeon. Rebinds for Map, Jobs, Codeex, achievements, and profile are available.
Use 40 FPS, restrained effects, and stable brightness. Open-world gathering sessions benefit more from consistency than maximum visuals.
